Dr Dominic Barnes

Dr Dominic Barnes studied at the University of Queensland and has been a GP for 35 years. Dominic has also had 20 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry in Sydney. He undertook his residency at Princess Alexandra Hospital and went on to own, and manage, three practices in Brisbane. Dominic provides a valuable service to residential aged care patients by visiting nursing homes on behalf of our practice however, Dominic does not see patients in clinic. Dominic enjoys gardening, bushwalking and bird watching.

Dr Gerry Beukes

MB ChB(Stellenbosch)

Dr Errol (Gerry) Beukes was born in Namibia and completed his bachelor's degree in medicine at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa in 1996. He has since worked across different hospitals and practices in Namibia, South Africa, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. He is married and has two children. The family relocated from NSW in 2021 and now call the Sunshine Coast home. Dr Beukes enjoys all aspects of general practice and is fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Dr Stephen Bosworth

MBBS, UNSW (Hons) SMA

Dr Stephen Bosworth graduated with honours from the University of New South Wales. Dr Bosworth is vocationally registered and has over 30 years experience in general practice. Prior to that he worked extensively in the areas of pathology and emergency medicine.
He is a member of Sports Medicine Australia and has additional areas of particular experience in the fields of asthma, pediatrics, skin malignancies and hormone therapy.

Unfortunately Dr Bosworth is not seeing patients at this time

Dr Michael Cross-Pitcher

MBBS FRACGP DRANZCOG FARGP JCCA

Dr Michael Cross-Pitcher has broad experience and interest in all aspects of General Practice. He has obtained advanced qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and thoroughly enjoys being a partner in the journey from pregnancy planning and antenatal care through to caring for the newborn. Dr Cross-Pitcher is also a qualified anaesthetist and has a keen interest in children’s health as well as skin cancer assessment, prevention and excision.

Unfortunately Dr Cross-Pitcher is unable to take on new patients at this time.

 

Dr Mark Greiner

FRACGP MBBS BSc

Dr Mark Greiner grew up in Bundaberg and then moved to Brisbane and the Gold Coast to undertake university and medical school. He has worked at various hospitals on the Sunshine Coast and interstate before completing his General Practice fellowship at Golden Beach Medical Centre. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice and his special interest is in skin cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. He has an Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and a Professional Diploma in Dermoscopy.

When he is not working Dr Greiner enjoys spending time with his family, kitesurfing and visiting the beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast.

Unfortunately, Dr Greiner is unable to take on new patients with the exception of skin checks.

 

 

Dr Lee Harding

MB ChB FRACGP

Dr Lee Harding joined us from England where he completed his vocational training in 2002. He has been fortunate enough to travel widely and has worked previously in Australia, New Zealand and the U.K. He is interested in all aspects of General Practice particularly dermatology and elderly care.

Unfortunately Dr Harding is unable to take on new patients at this time.

Dr Michael Hayes

MBBS Qld (Hons) FRACGP

Dr Michael Hayes has over 34 years experience in general practice and is interested in all areas of general medicine, including Geriatrics, Paediatrics, Travel Medicine and the treatment of solar keratosis and skin malignancies. Dr Hayes allocates Wednesdays to either home or Nursing Home visits or in training RACGP registrars. He has also satisfied the training requirements and holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is on the Vocational Registrar of General Practitioners. Dr Hayes has attended a number of post-graduate medical courses in Skin Cancer Medicine.

Dr Eranthi Hettiarachchi

FRACGP, MBBS, BPsych (Hons I), GCELead, DCH

Dr Eranthi Hettiarachchi completed her medical studies at the University of Queensland, before working in Emergency Medicine and then settling on General Practice, completing her fellowship in 2019.

Eranthi’s clinical passion is lifestyle medicine and nutrition, and is focused on using evidence-based, holistic management plans to support her patients. With a degree in Psychology and additional studies within paediatrics and child health, Eranthi particularly enjoys working with fellow healthcare providers to support their health and wellbeing, as well as the wider population.

Dr Eranthi is married with children and in her spare time enjoys cooking, social time with friends and staying active.

Dr Wynn Hlaing

MBBS FRACGP

Dr Wynn Hlaing graduated from the Institute of Medicine Rangoon in 1979 and moved to Australia in 1992. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Australian College of Rural/Remote Medicine. His special interests are in sports medicine, emergency medicine, skin cancer and men's health.

Dr James Murchie

MD

Dr James Murchie moved to Brisbane and the Gold Coast for his medical studies after growing up on the Sunshine Coast. Dr Murchie completed his hospital training at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Gympie hospital, and Nambour hospital. He enjoys all aspects of general practice and is currently undertaking further studies in paediatrics.

In his spare time Dr Murchie loves spending time with his wife and young family and enjoys time at the beach.

Dr Thao Nguyen

MBBS (Melb) FRACGP Grad. Cert. Medical Acupuncture (Monash), FAMAC 

Dr Thao Nguyen graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1998, completed her GP training in 2004 in Victoria, and has been working on the Sunshine Coast since 2010. Dr Nguyen enjoys all areas of general practice including women's health, child heath, geriatric medicine, musculoskeletal conditions and minor surgeries. Dr Nguyen has been practising medical acupuncture since 2009 gaining Fellowship with the Australian Medical Acupuncture College in 2021, and continues to up skill by being part of the teaching and mentoring team for the College. Dr Nguyen uses medical acupuncture (with filiform needles, press needles, lasers, Moxibustion, etc.) as a complimentary treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions as well as general medical and psychoemotional issues for patients of all ages.

At the moment Dr Nguyen is able to take on new acupuncture patients only

Dr Ryan O'Donnell

Dr Ryan O'Donnell has been working on the Sunshine Coast for 12 years and is proud to be a general practitioner who engages in all areas of practice. Dr O'Donnell has a special interest in urgent care and is passionate about preventing unnecessary hospital presentations. Dr O'Donnell is happy to see patients in a one off capacity for urgent care, including injuries, and sub-emergency level presentations/care.

Dr O'Donnell is not accepting new patients for on-going care at this time or seeing new patients requiring mental health management or referrals, insurance form completion, workcover, chronic disease and chronic pain management.

 

Dr Nicholas Simon

MBBS 

Dr Simon grew up on the Sunshine Coast before moving to Brisbane to study an undergraduate in Laboratory science. He later moved to the Gold Coast to undertake medical training in 2016. Dr Simon has worked in multiple roles across the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, as well as Nambour and Maleny Hospitals, prior to discovering his passion for general practice. In his spare time Dr Simon enjoys swimming at the local beaches, camping, and spending time with his friends and family.

Nurse Practitioner - Mitch Gallina

Mitch Gallina, Nurse Practitioner, is a long term Sunshine Coast local. Mitch completed his Bachelor of Nursing Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2014. In 2020, he completed a Graduate Certificate in Community and Primary Health Care Nursing through the Australian College of Nursing. Mitch graduated from the University of Queensland in 2022 with a Masters of Nurse Practitioner.

Mitch has worked extensively in General Practice and Primary Health, with experience in wound management, advanced and holistic patient assessment, and the diagnosis and management of a variety of chronic and complex conditions.

Mitch welcomes all patients of Golden Beach and Pelican Waters, supporting our General Practitioners with your care.
